Cordelia A. Sanders
Executive Assistant to the Senior Pastor

Cordelia Sanders serves as the Executive Assistant to the Senior Pastor and is responsible for the daily administrative duties relating to the Senior Pastor. She joined the staff of Mount Ararat in 1993.

She facilitates all travel arrangements for the Pastor, staff and all guests. She manages the Senior Pastor's calendar and is the initial contact for inquiries and concerns from congregants, church staff, and external parties to the Pastor.

Prior to joining the staff at Mount Ararat Baptist Church, Cordelia was employed at IBM Corporation. During her career, she was a Senior Dispatcher and later a Senior Accounts Receivable Administrator. As an IBMer, she was the recipient of the prestigious and coveted "IBM Means Service" award, several Regional Manager Awards and numerous local awards. She also participated in the IBM adopt a school program, she served as a math tutor at Martin Luther King, Jr. Elementary School.

In 1972, she was among the first group of women who were installed as Trustees at Mount Ararat Baptist Church. She served as the Financial Secretary at Mount Ararat for several years.

She matriculated at the University of Pittsburgh where she studied Liberal Arts and Science.

She is married to James T. Sanders and they are the parents of Timothy Sanders and Tracey Sanders Fisher. They have four grandchildren, Jalyn Helene Sanders, Kennedy Laura Sanders, Carl Leonard Fisher III and James Sanders Fisher.
