Video Production
In 1993 Terence Valencheck received a certificate of completion from a Cleveland high school vocational program, Radio and TV Productions. Immediately following High school Terry moved to Pittsburgh to attend the Music Video Business program at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. Before leaving Pittsburgh to travel the country he spent time as a Juggling performer and concert technician for musical groups as well as became spiritually aware through meditation and communing with nature. Setting root in San Antonio, Texas, Terry soon gave his life to Christ at a church called Revival Temple.
Starting in 1999, he served his country for two years as a volunteer through the AmeriCorps program, City Year, in San Antonio, Texas. There he developed skills in civil engagement, team building and project planning. His service included being an interpretive guide in nature reserves and restoring natural habitat to endangered species. Also, through City Year, Terry lead video production after school camps and provided introductory internet and computer training.
After 2 years of national service, he worked at the Catholic Chancery of the Archdiocese of San Antonio’s television station, Catholic Television of San Antonio, or CTSA, as a production technician. Terry technically produced the station's primary news program, operated Camera for live programming, and technically directed the daily mass.
Terry has worked as an independent video production specialist since 1999 and produced videos for cross-cultural ministries as well as a wide range of industries, including Union Labor organizations and entertainment venues.
Terry Valencheck and his wife Christina, son Julian and daughter Sonora became residents of Pittsburgh’s East Liberty Community in 2008. Their family enjoys working in community gardens and fellowshipping with their neighbors.
As Director of Video Production at Mount Ararat Baptist Church of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Terry’s mission is to lead and provide his technical expertise in the church’s video ministry, as well as provide computer support to the Mount Ararat staff.
Terry’s services at Mount Ararat Baptist Church through the leadership of Pastor Rev. Dr. William H. Curtis, continues to raise the bar on how the church creatively utilizes technology in ways to help enhance the worship experience and promote The Kingdom of Heaven.
